My church home is changing.
Change is not good or bad in an of itself in my book, although I am sure that some would disagree with me.
I worked as a janitor on my long trek to earn a bachelors degree. At one point, the vendor providing the 20 oz cotton mops with the scrub strip changed their manufacturing process. That one change led to many conversations between my co-workers about the effectiveness of the new mops. The only change was that the manufacturer no longer spent the money and effort required to dye the cotton green. Clearly the problem was one of perception and not real differences in performance.
My hope is to be faithful to Pauls teaching to the Philippians in asking them to get along and seek out the needs of others more than their own needs. Yet, I honestly do not understand where the line is. Unity at the expense of truth isn't what Paul is .....ok finish later
